Deputy Prime Minister: “milk war” between Russia and Belarus is over

Belarus expects no further conflict with Russia in the dairy market, told Vice-Premier of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov in Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Belarus became a co-founder of Eurasian Development Bank

Belarus has paid contribution to the nominal capital of Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) in the amount of $ 15 million and became the fifth co-founder of the bank.

It is stated in a press release on the official site of the financial organization.

According to the press release Belarus has completed all necessary procedures for entry into the bank and joined four states-founders of the bank: Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Energy Ministry: Belarus does not make a draft of transit gas

MINSK, June 22. Belarus is forced to transfer some power stations to back-up fuels, but does not make a draft of transit of Russian gas, told the press secretary of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus Lyudmila Zenkovich to RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

“Under the condition of a 30-percent reduction in gas supplies from Russia, a number of Belarusian consumers are limited in obtaining gas”, – said Zenkovich.

Prosecutor General of Belarus sees no grounds for Bakiyev’s extradition

MINSK, June 23. Prosecutor General of Belarus did not find grounds for extradition of the former President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev, said the Prosecutor General of Belarus Grigory Vasilevich at a press conference in Minsk on Wednesday.

Bakiyev has been under the protection of Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko since the end of April.

Belarus has reduced the transit of Russian gas to Europe by 20%

Belarus does not let the gas pass to Europe in full volume, said today the Chairman of Gazprom Alexei Miller.

According to him, the decline in gas supplies to Europe via Belarus has reached 20%.

Belarus fully paid $ 187 million for Russian gas supplies.
